Big changes to Azure Stack HCI Licensing

At Microsoft Ignite 2022 huge changes were announced that make moving to Azure Stack HCI almost a no brainer to plan and execute immediately, while certified hardware is still required the ongoing monthly charges have seen a massive overhaul

If you own and continue to maintain software assurance on Windows Server Datacenter, and your current hardware is on the Azure Stack HCI certified list (If your currently running S2D Clusters a good chance they are on the list which i was lucky enough to be/have)

The monthly per core costs $10 USD per month are now $0.

No longer are the enterprises asked to pay additional for the benefits of Hybrid/Edge cloud computing

Along with these changes Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS Edge) announced that customers who have Software assurance on Windows Server Datacenter will also unlock a $0 per vCPU benefit. While this benefit will be available later this year again another win for the enterprise.
